Arlen and Rhoda were a dream come true to work with. They both had a great eye for design and knew what they liked and what they didn't! Their styles were similar with a few differences here and there.
The home the Troyers purchased several years before still retained the previous owners' decorating fingerprint. Rhoda's life is all about style, fashion, and beauty. She owns an image consulting company and operates a state-of-the art spa; however, this fast-paced, creative woman found herself needing direction for the daunting job of redecorating her home. How would she and Arlen marry their styles? Where would they start? Should walls be removed? Where are the best places to shop for home accessories? Common questions for even the most creative soul. Rhoda contacted me and the brainstorming began!
The kitchen was dated and not useable for entertaining larger groups, and since both Rhoda and Arlen come from large families, this was a real problem. In addition, the space did not reflect the homeowners' sense of style. See BEFORE images here.
First. there were too many small rooms that weren't being utilized, so when the renovation began, the walls came down and the entire first floor living space was reconfigured. By doing this, we were left with a clean, contemporary, and functional space.
